The Movie Mull

Richard is back in the hosting seat, he has just finished reading Joe Hill's 'Horns' and it got him thinking about all the times that a book has been turned into a movie and how this works out. Do you need to have read the book to enjoy the movie? Is there ever a time when a movie will be better than a book? Do you have a favourite novel adaptation?

Neil loves Kevin Smith and his history of work, he wanted the mulls to gather round the mic's and discuss all things Kevin Smith, we share some of the movies we have enjoyed and others that are yet to be seen.

We have changed the format slightly, Darren explains in the episode, but just a heads up. We will now release an episode just on what we have been watching that week, then we will release an episode the following week on a selected topic, this will allow us more time to discuss the movies we've been watching and then the topics on their own.

Following the announcement from Mr. Willis with his intention to retire from the movie business, the Mulls gathered around the mics to discuss his career and our top ten Bruce Willis movies. We each share our first memory of Bruce and then the following fan moments that we have all shared.

Darren asked if anyone actually laughs out loud to movie moments and if so, what scene or moment had brought on your greatest laughing fit? The mulls gathered to discuss their greatest LOL moments and some from our fans too. Perhaps you have a movie that you will always turn to which guarantees laughter, perhaps you are like Darren and show your excitement and enthusiasm through a mild chuckle.

Richard asked the mulls to consider their favourite animated movies, this was, as you can imagine, a rather huge topic of discussion. We all put together our top 10 and agreed that this episode would mostly consist of us each appreciating the other Mull's choice. 
 
Perhaps you have your all-time favourite animated movie, maybe if you had three wishes, one would be for us to pick yours. Or would you find it despicable to just pick 10?

The Mulls had another opportunity to record a mini mull, this time, we all got together and formed a list of our top Sigourney Weaver performances, each Mull had 5 top performances to bring to the table. The list was very interesting, some at the top which you would expect, one which gets a special mention but was not widely known. Do you have the best Weaver performance? Do you need Ripley to dive into your top 5, or perhaps you should call the Ghostbusters for their opinion?

Neil has gone back to the host's chair, or was he there before? We're all discussing time travel movies and our views, what makes a good one, what do we look out for? When the mulls got together and discussed partnerships, Justin realised that there was a topic of Hitchcock alongside either James Stewart or Cary Grant, so we all took 39 steps North or North-West to our old box sets and tried to find the top Hitchcock movies and see who made the best partnerships.
